Frosting – damage or death of the plants under the influence of low temperatures;
Drawing – pushing or interruption of the underground part of the plants as a result of the vertical movement of the soil surface due to sharp fluctuations of the temperature. Depending on the level and place of the damage, the drawn plants can freeze, dry or to survive, but giving adulterate yield.
Additional risks can be covered for some crops as per special agreement between the parties.
With crops, cultivated in glasshouses with heating, the following risks are covered:
Freezing, as a result of ingress of cold air in the glasshouse due to breaking of the glasses by a storm or by the natural accumulation of snow or ice;
Mechanical damage of the plants from fallen broken glass, as a result of hail, storm or natural accumulation of snow or ice.
