Subject of the insurance are the driver and passengers, located in motor vehicles or in their close vicinity, while boarding or getting off. All seats of the motor vehicles, stated in the registration form of the vehicle, including the driver’s seat are insured. Insurance only of the driver seat is allowed, if the compulsory insurance “Accident to passengers in public transportation vehicles” is concluded.
Basic cover: permanent disability and death as a result of an accident.
2.1. temporary disability, exceeding 20 (twenty) days as a result of an accident;
2.2. medical expenses as a result of an accident.
The insurance coverage is related to accidents that occurred during boarding, travelling or getting off of the motor vehicle.
The insurance does not cover the death of a minor person or a person under guardianship.
driver, driving the motor vehicle, who has used alcohol, exceeding the legally permissible limits or other intoxicating substances, and/or does not have a driving license for the relevant motor vehicle category and in cases of refusal for provision of drug test, when the refusal is certified by a document of the relevant authorities. The insurer does not pay indemnity also to an individual, travelling in the motor vehicle, if it is proven incontrovertibly that this person knew about the unhallowed usage of the above stated substances by the driver and/or his/her incompetence;
Insurance term – usually 1 year
The insurer pays sums or refunds expenses within 15 days after the provision of all required documents, evidencing the event as per the grounds and amount or refuses payment with the provision of reasoning, if the insurer has good reasons to do that.
The insurer pays sums or refunds expenses as follows:
In case of death, as a result of an accident, suffered by the Insured person during the insurance term, that occurred up to one year from the date of the accident – the lawful heirs receive the sum of the insurance.
In case of permanent disability as a result of an accident – the Insured person is paid a percentage of the sum of the insurance, equal to the percentage of the disability, determined by insurance-medic commission /IMC/ of the Insurer or by Territorial expert doctors commission/National expert doctors commission after the final and full stabilization of the Insured person, but not earlier than three months from the date of the accident and not later than one year after the accident.
At death of the Insured person, in case that the Insurer has paid sums for permanent disability, the amount is discounted by the sum that must be paid off in case of death.
For temporary disability above 20 days, as a result of an accident, the Insurer pays to the Insured person sum equal to the amount, stated in the insurance policy.
The Insurer refunds to the Insured individual the actual medical expenses incurred within the limit set in the insurance policy.
